Re: Toyota says faulty pedals to be fixed within a month — Feb. 2
Why is it that one thing of a negative stance (re: faulty accelerator pedals) can cause everyone to totally forget all the positive things Toyota has done? During the recession Toyota did not close any plants, it did not let any of its employees go and it did not ask us to bail it out. And even now, with the accelerator problem, Toyota still kept its workers employed by offering to pay them to do other jobs while the accelerator problem is being rectified.
In my opinion, the lawsuits filed by Merchant Law Group and Rochen Genova LLP are just unfortunate ways the human society has devised to get money for free. Mistakes happen. I’m positive Toyota, a reputable company, would not intentionally put faulty parts in its vehicles.
Nor do I feel Toyota should be totally to blame for this problem. Where are all the names of the companies involved in making the accelerator parts and product? I’m not belittling the problem for one does exist, but I tip my hat to Toyota for accepting its part in the problem and acting as quickly as possible to rectify it.
Let us not forget either that Toyota’s No. 1 priority, in addition to a long history of great quality vehicles, is its commitment to its workers and keeping them employed.
